Artist Statement
The Femme Belle Collection has come together to present the various notions of how power is perceived in women. Taking images from various icons and compositing them with mixed media to emote a response based off how the viewer relates to their own interpretation of femininity. The collection seeks to engage in the dialogue surrounding the ideology of femininity and the ever evolving concept. Each piece is an extension of the last, working together to convey a message that is minimal yet multifaceted.
