About Kathryn Desrosiers

From the time I could pick up paint brush and touch it to canvas, I’ve had a passion for creating beautiful things. I inherited the foundation of my painting skills from my mother and have further developed techniques through art research, experimentation and exploration.

I think, as with most artists, there has always been a sense of vulnerability when it came to selling my art. After a lot of experience, self growth and influence from a dear friend of mine, I finally decided to take plunge and create a platform where my art could be displayed and marketed. In fall of 2019, I gave birth to my son and have since been able to invest time and rekindled my passion for art. 

I am an abstract impressionistic painter, art tutor and creative designer living in rural Southern Ontario. My painting topics have a wide range of subjects however, I specialize in landscapes and organic matter. My greatest art inspirations include Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet and Emil Nolde. 

My short term goals would include expanding my marketing audience while continuing to experiment with various concepts. Long term, I would love to further pursue hosting painting workshops as well as look into growing into an expansive studio.
