Building a Better Community

Town Budget
Exercise Fiscal Responsibility
Reflecting on the current layout of the towns budget, there is a lot of uncertainty to why certain objectives are justified. As a town council member, Kathryn is committed to learning and understanding the current process of the financial budget while bringing new insight to incorporating fiscal responsibility for future financial planning.

The Environment
For a Better Future
Environmental impact is an important challenge that municipalities face. By making effective policy decisions, Aylmer can do its part to mitigate the effects of climate change.
As an avid gardener, Kathryn understands the importance of a clean environment and the impact it can make on community and health. Kathryn is focused on finding sustainable solutions, promoting urban forestry and making the least environmental impact by exploring options and ideas.

Community
Opportunities to Connect
Kathryn’s vision for Aylmer is a community connected. Citizens and families benefit from social events, activities and programs that encourage and facilitate engagement, a sense of community and inclusion. Communication, community development, strengthening the social fabric and increased citizen engagement in town matters are Kathryns core priorities.

Growth and Development
Increase Community Value
Aylmer is growing and requires a council to ask questions and have the towns best interest at heart. Focusing on key road and pedestrian infrastructure, Kathryn understands what is needed to ensure public safety and improve traffic flow for residents. When it comes to residential and commercial development, Kathryn supports development that adds value to the community and citizens of Aylmer. She believes by identifying and implementing the necessary improvements, development can be more transparent and efficient while maintaining town character. Carefully analyzing development projects and their impact on the town, all while putting the well-being of the citizens at the core of the decision-making process.

Healthy Futures
Prioritizing Health and Wellness
As councillor, Kathryn is interested in moving forward to enhance the towns current recreational and health front. Reviewing and enhancing existing programming and working on supporting new opportunities. She is eager to encourage development of a local fitness facility that would offer programs and classes for all ages. She will be the voice for all generations that she represents.
